Living Willow Bridge, Waterbeach
Smith and Wallwork designed and built a living willow bridge for the Woodland Trust in collaboration with Michael Ramage of Cambridge University. The bridge is a prototype for future bridge projects for the Woodland Trust. The first bridge has been refined and three years later a second bridge has been planted ready for opening in 2019. The design takes inspiration from living rubber tree bridges in northern India.
